Résumé

Creative Interaction for Dance, Music, Painting, part II (rappel : VR part 1)

This second Virtual Reality API will extend the introduction to dance, music and painting application with Virtual, Augmented, Mixed Reality interfaces. The students will have the opportunity to develop an application creating a virtual environment and complex interactions.

They will interface their application with a VR headset, or with a four walls immersive room (CAVE), and tracking systems. Some sensory motor problems may happen. The students will learn how to solve them with classical VR methods.

The students will implement and test their project, which will be presented at the end of during a festive musical evening.

Objectifs pédagogiques

Objectif de l’Api :

Discover how to develop a VR application.

Objectifs spécifiques :

  • To implement creative and innovative interactions in virtual, augmented and mixed environments

  • To understand and take into account in your application specific user’s needs for dance, music and painting in virtual environments using a CAVE or an HMD

  • To build an intuitive experience, with appropriate tools to quickly prototype a 3D environment and design flow of interactions

  • To follow well-known principles in 3D UI: guidance and assistance

  • To acquire a cultural basis on digital art experience in virtual / augmented reality

  • Developing complex 3D interactions

  • Interfacing a headset and VR controllers

  • Experimenting in VR and experiencing sensory motor problems

Objectifs transversaux :

  • Know how develop a virtual reality application

  • Know how to solve sensory motor conflicts

  • Know how to organise yourself
